29 CFR 1910.212(a)(3)(iii): Special handtools for placing and removing material were not used to permit easy handling of material without the operator placing a hand in the danger zone. Such tools shall not be in lieu of other guarding required by this section, but can only be used to supplement protection provided:  Meat Cutting Department:  On or about December 8, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to amputation hazards while operating the Hobart Meat Saw without using the pusher guard tool.

29 CFR 1910.213(i)(1): Non-working portion(s) of the blade of bandsaw(s) were not enclosed or guarded: AND/OR IN THE ALTERNATIVE: 29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):  One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  Meat Market Department:  On or about December 8, 2018, and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to amputation hazards while cutting meat on the Hobart Meat Saw with 1 inch or more of the saw blade unguarded.
