29 CFR 1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system.  Or, on roofs 50-feet (15.25 m) or less in width, each employee was not protected by use of a monitoring system.  a. The employer fails to assure effective protection against falls as required by the standard, as demonstrated on February 7, 2019, when employees are working on a commercial one story roof at 4116 US 231, Panama City, FL 33534 without fall protection and are exposed to falls of approximately 22 feet to the ground below.  Southern Steel , Inc was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard  29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1) which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1103403, citation number 1, item number 2a and was affirmed as a final order on February 17, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 603 Kresson Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
