29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: a) Plant, Moulding Area: On or about May 16, 2019 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to continuous noise at a dose of 72.9% (8-Hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 85 dBA) during the 443 minute sampling period. For a full eight-hour work shift, this exposure is equivalent to an average sound level of 87.7 dBA. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 37 minutes not sampled. b) Plant, Near G7 Rip Machine: On or about May 16, 2019 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to continuous noise at a dose of 90.6% (8-Hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 85 dBA) during the 434 minute sampling period. For a full eight-hour work shift, this exposure is equivalent to an average sound level of 89.2 dBA. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 46 minutes not sampled. c) Plant, Near Hogger: On or about May 16, 2019 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to continuous noise at a dose of 107.6% (8-Hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 85 dBA) during the 459 minute sampling period. For a full eight-hour work shift, this exposure is equivalent to an average sound level of 90.5 dBA. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 21 minutes not sampled. d) Plant, Near Gang Rip Machine: On or about May 16, 2019 and at times prior thereto, employees were exposed to continuous noise at a dose of 84.6% (8-Hour Time Weighted Average sound level of 85 dBA) during the 458 minute sampling period. For a full eight-hour work shift, this exposure is equivalent to an average sound level of 88.7 dBA. Exposure calculations include a zero increment for the 22 minutes not sampled.
