29 CFR 1910.1026(l)(2)(i): The employer did not ensure that all employees who were assigned to workplaces where there was exposure to chromium (VI) were provided with information and training as required by the Hazard Communication standard, 29 CFR 1910.1200:     a) On May 13, 2019, Aluminum Coil Anodizing Corporation did not ensure that an employee exposed to chromium (VI) while working in the laboratory were provided information and training on chromium VI.      In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET), and in addition, documentation demonstrating that abatement is complete must be included with your certification.  This documentation may include, but is not limited to, evidence of the purchase or repair of the equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement, or other written records.

29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(6)(ii): Except as provided in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(7) and 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(8), the employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the product identifier and words, pictures, symbols, or combination thereof, which provide at least general information regarding the hazards of the chemicals and which, in conjunction with the other information immediately available to employees under the hazard communication program, would provide employees with the specific information regarding the physical and health hazards of the hazardous chemical:    a) On May 23, 2019, on the anodizing lines, tanks containing sodium hydroxide (Etch); phosphoric acid, nitric acid, aluminum and dissolved copper (Bright Dip); phosphoric acid (Cleaner Tank and Dye); and sulfuric acid (Anodize) were not labeled with the name and the hazard warnings of the chemical contained therein.      b) On May 23, 2019, a large outdoor storage tank containing sulfuric acid (20% sulfuric acid, 80% water) was not labeled to identify the hazard of the chemical contained therein.      c) On May 23, 2019, in the laboratory, chromium VI solution stored in a 3-liter beaker, in the fume hood, was not labeled with the name and the hazard warnings of the chemical contained therein.
