29 CFR 1910.179(i): Crane(s) equipped with a power traveling mechanism were not provided with a gong or other effective warning signal: On or about August 15, 2019, and at times prior to, throughout the shop overhead cranes were operated by remote control device to lift heavy steel parts and were not provided with the means (audible alarm or strobe light) to warn employees working in the areas when the cranes were on the move. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.

29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: On or about August 15, 2019, and at times prior thereto, at the angle iron cutting machine area, the employer did not ensure that the machine, with moving parts inside, was adequately guarded to prevent employees from being exposed to the moving parts while it was in operation. This exposed employees to caught-in hazards.
