29 CFR 1910.1200(e)(1): The employer did not develop, implement, and/or maintain at the workplace a written hazard communication program which describes how the criteria specified in 29 CFR 1910.1200(f), (g), and (h) will be met: (Construction Reference: 1926.59)    A written hazard communication program was developed for employees using hazardous chemical products such as but not limited to Hub 100 II non-shrink grout and SealTight 1100 concrete curing compound.  Employees are exposed to chemical hazards.  The written program was deficient in the following ways:   1.  The term "MSDS" (material safety data sheet) was used instead of the current "SDS" (safety data sheets), the appropriate term under the revised standard.  2.  There was no description of the pictogram system,  a requirement under the revised hazard communication standard.

29 CFR 1910.1200(g)(1): Employers did not have a safety data sheet in the workplace for each hazardous chemical which they use.   Cultural Museum and Spa Project:  Safety data sheets (SDSs) were not available at the work site for Hub 100 II non-shrink grout and SealTight 1100 concrete curing compound.  The SDS need to be available for employees to reference during the work shift.  Employees are potentially exposed to health hazards associated with respirable crystalline silica dust and Portland cement.
