29 CFR 1910.95(c)(1): The employer did not administer a continuing, effective hearing conservation program as described in 29 CFR 1910.9(c) through (o) whenever employee noise exposures equal or exceed an 8-hour time-weighted average sound level of 85 decibels measured on the A scale, or equivalently a dose of fifty percent: Facility: When employees were conducting bread baking and packaging tasks they were exposed to noise in excess of OSHA's 85 dBA Time Weighted Average (TWA) Action Level, and the employer did not establish an effective hearing conservation program: a. On or about 09/26/2019 a Machine Operator in the Pan Slider Area was exposed to a TWA noise level of 88.7 dBA, which is equivalent to a dose of 83 percent. The sampling period was for 472 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for any unsampled time; b. On or about 09/26/2019 a Pan Slider in the Feeder Area was exposed to a TWA noise level of 89.6 dBA, which is equivalent to a dose of 93.9 percent. The sampling period was for 460 minutes. Zero exposure was assumed for unsampled time.
