29 CFR 1910.37(b)(2): Each exit was not clearly visible and marked by a sign reading "Exit":      a) Carpenter Shop Emergency Exit Door - On or about 03/19/2020, employees who worked in the carpenter shop were potentially exposed to fire hazards in that, an emergency exit door leading to the outside did not display an "EXIT" sign above it. The door is located next to a rollup door on the east side of the building.

29 CFR 1910.101(b): The in-plant handling, storage, and utilization of all compressed gases in cylinders, portable tanks, rail tankcars, or motor vehicle cargo tanks were not in accordance with Compressed Gas Association Pamphlet P-1-1965, which is incorporated by reference as specified in CFR 1910.6:   a) Cylinder Storage Area - On or about 03/19/2020, employees were exposed to struck-by and/or fire hazards in that, the employer failed to ensure that compressed gases, such as but not limited to, Acetylene, were properly stored.  Employees who worked in the proximity to the unchained Acetylene cylinder were not protected should the cylinder rupture or fall and become a projectile.   The Metromont Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.101(b), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1314195, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/13/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 200 Metromont Road, Hiram, Georgia 30141.

29 CFR 1910.304(f)(1)(iv): Overcurrent devices for circuits rated 600 volts, nominal, or less, were not readily accessible to each employee or authorized building management personnel:      a) Welding Shop, Welder 1 Area - On or about 03/19/2020, employees were exposed to electrical hazards in that, welding equipment and tables were placed approximately 15" or less in front of an electrical shut down switch. This blocked access to the electrical shut off used to power a 600 volt, 3- phase welder.    b) Welding Shop, Welder 2 Area- On or about 03/19/2020,  employees were exposed to electrical hazards in that, welding equipment and tables were placed approximately 15" or less in front of an electrical shut down switch. This blocked access to the electrical shut off used to power a 600 volt, 3- phase welder.      The Metromont Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.304(f)(1)(iv), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1314195, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 12/13/2018, with respect to a workplace located at 200 Metromont Road, Hiram, Georgia 30141.

29 CFR 1910.106(f)(6): Sources of ignition. Category 1 or 2 flammable liquids, or Category 3 flammable liquids with a flashpoint below 100 °F (37.8 °C), shall not be handled, drawn, or dispensed where flammable vapors may reach a source of ignition. Smoking shall be prohibited except in designated localities. "No Smoking" signs shall be conspicuously posted where hazard from flammable liquid vapors is normally present.  (a) Back of Steel Shop - On or about 03/19/2020, employees were exposed to fire hazards in that, the steel flammables storage cabinet was not clearly marked with a "No Smoking" sign. The employees' smoking area was approximately 20 feet away.
