29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems: a) Work site was located at 136 Summit Avenue, Jersey City, NJ 07304 Employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately thirty nine feet, eight inches as they were not tied off to anchor points or self retracting lifelines while setting up perimeter cables on the fourth floor of the building to be used in lieu of guardrails. Violation was observed on or about May 14, 2020.
