29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):  Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652(b) or 1926.652(c):      a)  On August 12, 2020, employees were not protected from the hazard of cave-in while working in a trench measuring approximately 6.3 feet in depth.  No abatement certification or documentation is required for this item.

29 CFR 1926.651(i)(3): Sidewalks, pavements, or appurtenant structures had been undermined and a support system or another method was not provided to protect employees from the possible collapse of such structures:    a)  On August 12, 2020, employees were not protected from the possible collapse of the pavement that was undermined.   In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the CERTIFICATION OF CORRECTIVE ACTION WORKSHEET).
