On or about September 4, 2020, employees and management officials received potential occupational exposure to blood and other potentially infectious materials while cleaning droplets and pool(s) of blood following a work related accident involving a hand injury on an Omar Hinge Boring-Inserting Machine/Drill Panel in the Production Shop. The employer did not establish a written bloodborne pathogen exposure control plan to eliminate or minimize employees' exposures to bloodborne hazards. Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

There is no abatement certification or documentation required for this item. The Chicago Storage Solutions, Inc dba Closets By Design was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1904.29(a), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1158387, citation number 2, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 3, 2016, with respect to a workplace located at 850 Ridgeway Unit A, Aurora, IL. 60506.
