The bucket broke split open , spilling hot oil  onto the employees shoes resulting in burns to the feet.

29 CFR  1910.132(a):Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered:  Kitchen: Protective equipment including foot covers, apron, and eye protection were not worn by employees when draining out and disposing of hot oil from the Frymaster deep fat fryer.  On October 16, 2020  an employee drained hot oil  from a the fryer into a plastic bucket without the use of protective equipment.
