29 CFR 1926.652(a)(1):Each employee in an excavation was not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective system designed in accordance with 29 CFR 1926.652 (b) or (c). a) On or about March 23, 2021, at the previously addressed job site, workers were not protected from cave-ins by an adequate protective during underground utility installation in a trench at an approximate depth of 7 feet. Abatement certification is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(c).
