29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  On or about July 16, 2021 the employer failed to ensure that effective machine guarding was in place on the Amada press brake (serial # A92011385) to protect employees from the pinch point of the upper die contacting the bottom die during operation. The equipment, while equipped with light curtains, was able to be bypassed when operations took place from the operator in a seated position.
