29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not assess the workplace to determine if hazards are present, or are likely to be present, which necessitate the use of personal protective equipment (PPE). (a) On or about October 13, 2021, employees in the ISP molding area were spraying PU-15242 and Ease Release 200, mold pre-releasing agents, onto molding parts prior to injection molding. The employer did not conduct a hazard assessment of the ISP molding area which would have identified the required use of ANSI Z87+ rated safety glasses and use of gloves for this operation, and while conducting other operations in the ISP molding area.
