29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks: At the workplace located at 3800 South 48th Terrace, Saint Joseph, Missouri 64503, employees were exposed to an ingoing nip point and amputation hazards. The ingoing nip point on the Fischbein Model HAS 300 Hot Air Sealer was not adequately guarded or protected to prevent accidental employee contact with the point of operation.

29 CFR 1910.305(g)(1)(iv)(A):Flexible cords and/or cables were used as a substitute for the fixed wiring of a structure: At the workplace located at 3800 South 48th Terrace, Saint Joseph, Missouri 64503, employees were exposed to electrical hazards. A power strip was being utilized as a substitute for fixed wiring. The power strip was supplying electricity to a HITACHI ink jet printer RX2-B and an Avery Weigh-Tronix scale model ZM201-SD2 on line 11.
