29 CFR  1910.36(g)(2):  Exit accesses were not at least 28 inches (71.1 cm) wide at all points:  (a) Boot Barn Inc., Store 124 at 2805 West 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105:  On or about and at times prior to November 23, 2021, the employer did not  ensure an adequate exit access of at least 28 inches was provided for employees to exit the warehouse in the event of an emergency.  This condition exposed employees to inadequate egress in the event of an emergency.

29 CFR  1910.37(b)(6):  Each exit sign was not illuminated to a surface value of at least five foot-candles (54 lux) by a reliable light source and be distinctive in color:  (a) Boot Barn Inc., Store 124 at 2805 West 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105:  On or about and at times prior to November 23, 2021, warehouse exit signs were not illuminated  to allow exit signs to exit safely in dark conditions.  This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with inadequate egress in the event of an emergency.  (b) Boot Barn Inc., Store 124 at 2805 West 41st Street, Sioux Falls, SD 57105:  On or about and at times prior to November 23, 2021,  illumination was not provided on the southwest exit door, adjacent to the warehouse, to enable employees to exit safely in dark conditions.  This condition exposed employees to hazards associated with inadequate egress in the event of an emergency.
