29 CFR 1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  Englert, Inc. 1200 Amboy Ave, Perth Amboy, NJ - manufacturing areas:  a. The employer did not ensure adequate machine guarding was provided to prevent employees from entering or inserting body parts into machines or equipment.  Employees engaged in the manufacture of products worked at or around equipment that included, but was not limited to the Small Slitter Machine, were able to enter the point of operation by the machine roller where there was no physical guard, interlock or other device installed and the equipment continued to run.  Condition noted on or about January 19, 2022.  Englert, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 1910.212(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1444887, citation number 02, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 6-03-2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1200 Amboy Ave, Perth Amboy, NJ.
