29 CFR  1926.501(b)(13): Each employee(s) engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels is not protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:  a) Big Foot Framing does not ensure employees engaged in construction activities are protected from fall hazards.  This violation was recently observed on February 8, 2022, where employees performed framing activities on a 6 in 12 pitched roof without a fall protection system in place.  The employees were exposed to an 11.3 foot or more fall hazard to the concrete below.    Bigfoot Framing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1471035, citation number 1, item number 1a, and was affirmed as a final order on June 23, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 922 North Ash Pine Way, Meridian ID 83642. 29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(1): Portable ladders are used for access to an upper landing surface where the ladder side rails do not extend at least 3 feet (.9 m) above the upper landing surface to which the ladder was used to gain access:  a) This employer does not ensure ladders extend at least three feet above the landing surface.   This violation was most recently observed on February 8, 2022, employees used an extension ladder where only one rung was above the eave in order to access the sheathed roof.  This exposed the employees to an 11.3 foot fall hazard to the concrete below.    Bigfoot Framing, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard, CFR 1926.1053(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1471035, citation number 1, item number 2, and was affirmed as a final order on June 23, 2020, with respect to a workplace located at 922 North Ash Pine Way, Meridian ID 83642.
