29 CFR  1926.1053(b)(4):Ladders shall be used only for the purpose for which they were designed.  A.) On or about March 11, 2022, and days prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards in that the fiberglass extension was taken apart and used as one section. The section that was in use was the section without the manufacturers feet installed. The manufacturers label states that the ladder should not be taken apart and used separately.

On or about March 11, 2022, and days prior, employees were exposed to falling hazards in that they were carrying loads up one section of a separated portable extension ladder and unable to maintain their balance while climbing the portable extension ladder section.
