29 CFR 1910.132(d)(1): The employer did not adequately assess and have each employee wear personal protective equipment (PPE) exposing employees to physical injuries. Instances include, but are not limited to the following: WORKSHOP/PRESS BRAKE DEPARTMENT: The employer had not conducted a workplace hazard assessment for personal protective equipment (PPE) such as (but not limited to ) cut resistant gloves for the operators in the press brake department. On/or about March 22, 2022, an employee loading metal parts in and out of the press brake #7, the metal part hit the employee's resulting in a finger amputation. ABATED DURING THE INSPECTION.
