29 CFR  1926.501(b)(10): Each employee engaged in roofing activities on low-slope roofs, with unprotected sides and edges 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels, was not protected from falling by guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, or a combination of warning line system and guardrail system, warning line system and safety net system, or warning line system and personal fall arrest system, or warning line system and safety monitoring system:  Tecta America East LLC 1547 7th St., NW Washington, DC:  a) 2nd Floor Rooftop:  On or about April 21, 2022,  employees did not have fall protection in place to prevent them from falling an estimated 29 feet to 33-feet 1inch while installing metal panel caps on top of the parapet wall.  Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with the requirements of 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

29 CFR  1926.503(b)(1):The employer did not verify compliance with paragraph (a) of this section by preparing a written (training) certification record including the name or other identity of the employee trained, the date(s) of the training, and the signature of the person who conducted the training or the signature of the employer.  Tecta America East LLC 1547 7th St., NW Washington, DC:  a) 2nd Floor Rooftop:  On or about April 21, 2022,  employees did not provide a written certification record with the signature of the trainer and date(s) of training for an employee exposed to an estimated 29 feet to 33-feet 1inch fall hazard while installing metal panel caps on top of the parapet wall.  In accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(c), abatement certification is required for this violation (using the Certification of Corrective Action Worksheet).
