A) NJ Route 55: Employees were exposed to struck-by and caught-in/between hazard(s) when the employer allowed them to ride in the back of a box truck designed for cargo, not passengers, without seat belts during travel from work site to work site. 29 CFR 1926.601(b)(8): Motor vehicles used to transport employees did not have adequate seating for the number of employees: A) NJ Route 55: Employees were exposed to struck-by and caught-in/between hazard(s) when the employer failed to ensure that each employee had adequate seating during travel from work site to work site in the back of a box truck within the established traffic control zone. Employees were assigned to perform operations to include but not limited to expansion joint repair, pressure washing, and application of preservative coatings. Condition noted on or about 14JUN22
