Employees engaged in custom fabrication activities at the shop are exposed to health hazards when using chemicals and the employer had not developed a written Hazardous Communication Program:  1) A propane tank was found in the forklift area. Propane is an extremely flammable gas, may cause frostbite. May displace oxygen and cause rapid suffocation.  2) A  Phoenix 27-XL Water Dispersible Pipe Joint Lubricant was found at the storage shelves located next to the lunch area. It can cause  mild skin irritation and eye irritation.   3) An  E-Z WELD� 216 Low VOC Industrial Grade Gray Heavy Body PVC Cement was found at the storage shelves located next to the lunch area. It is a highly flammable liquid and vapor, causes serious eye irritation, it is harmful if inhaled, it may cause respiratory irritation, it may cause drowsiness or dizziness and repeated exposure may cause skin dryness or cracking.
