29 CFR 1910.22(a)(3): The employer did not ensure that walking-working surfaces are maintained free of hazards such as sharp or protruding objects, loose boards, corrosion, leaks, spills, snow, and ice:  On or about September 7, 2022, employees working in the Genetics room were exposed to injury from two metal drainpipe covers that had become dislodged and were raised approximately 1 inch off the floor.

29 CFR  1910.212(a)(5): Fan blade guards, where the periphery of the blades was less than seven feet above the floor or working level, had openings larger than one half inch:   On or about September 7, 2022, employees working in the Hot House room were exposed to injury from contact with fan blades:  a.  Employees using the 8-inch Shaefer Versa-Kool fan resting on the floor next to the work table and the front guards were approximately 1-inch wide.  b.  Employees using the 8-inch Shaefer Versa-Kool fan resting on the bottom shelf next to the work table and the front guards were approximately 1-inch wide.

29 CFR  1910.303(b)(2): Listed or labeled electrical equipment was not used or installed in accordance with instructions included in the listing or labeling:   On or about September 7, 2022, employees working in the Propagation room were exposed to electric shock hazards because metal outlet boxes were not secured:  a.  The four-gang metal electric box used to power the computer desk and fan was hanging from the ceiling and not secured or mounted in a fixed position.  b.  The four-gang metal electric box near the water hose and a wall faucet was hanging from the ceiling and not secured or mounted in a fixed position.
