29 CFR 1918.85(l): When an employee was working along an unguarded edge where a fall hazard existed, the employer did not provide fall protection meeting the requirements of 29 CFR 1918.85(k).  On or about 10/20/2022, at Berth 32, 4200 McIntosh Road, Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306, employees were exposed to 8'3" fall hazards to lower level when working on the deck of a ship without any fall protective systems as they assisted with the loading of shipping containers.

29 CFR 1918.105(b)(1): The employer did not provide personal flotation devices (PFDs) for each employee engaged in work in which the employee might have fallen into the water.   On or about 10/20/2022, at Berth 32, 4200 McIntosh Road, Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33306, employees were exposed to drowning hazards when working on the outermost edge hatch cover during the loading of shipping containers.
