29 CFR  1910.134(g)(1)(i)(A):Respirators with tight-fitting facepieces were worn by employees who had facial hair that came between the sealing surface of the facepiece and the face or that interfered with valve function:  a.) Facility - On or about December 8, 2022, it was observed that employees working in the facility had facial hair while wearing respirators .  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date.  The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1910.134(e)(1):The employer did not provide a medical evaluation to determine the employee's ability to use a respirator, before the employee was fit tested or required to use the respirator in the workplace:  a) Facility - On or about December 8, 2022, it was found through interviews that employees were not medically evaluated prior to the required use of respirators while painting and/or sanding, exposing employees to health issues related to respirator usage.  Crash Champions, LLC. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR  1910.134(e)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1574666, citation number 1, item 1, and was affirmed as a final order on April 6, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 546 S West St Wichita, Kansas.  No abatement certification or documentation required.

Crash Champions, LLC was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR  1910.134(f)(2), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1574666, citation number 1, item 5, and was affirmed as a final order on April 6, 2022, with respect to a workplace located at 546 S West St. Wichita, Kansas.  No abatement certification or documentation required.
