29 CFR  1910.157(c)(1):Portable fire extinguishers were not mounted, located and identified so that they were readily accessible without subjecting the employees to injuries:  (a) 9760 Old HWY 45 N. Lauderdale, MS. - On or about February 9, 2023, the employer failed to keep portable fire extinguishers readily available. Portable fire extinguishers located at the double doors leading into the storage area and next to exit doors in storeroom was obstructed by store products/stock and a rolling cart exposing employees to fire hazards.  Dollar General Corporation was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1461290, citation number 1, item number 3 and was affirmed as a final order on 08/31/2020 , with respect to a workplace located at 1415 Ellis Ave. Jackson, MS. 39212.  DG Retail, LLC dba Dollar General was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1910.157(c)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1450479, citation number 1, item number 2 and was affirmed as a final order on 04/08/2020, with respect to a workplace located at 1111 N. Cole ST. Bushnell, IL. 61422.
