An employee installing HVAC system equipment on top of a roof of a 2-story residential home utilized a 10-feet A-frame ladder to access area. The employee was walking and working directly on the edge of the roof and was not utilizing a means of fall protection. Note: Because abatement of this violation is already documented in the case file, the employer need not submit certification or documentation of abatement for this violation as normally required by CFR 1903.19.
