29 CFR  1910.213(c)(1):Circular handfed ripsaw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:  a) On or about March 24, 2023, in the workshop area, employees were required to operate the Saw Stop and Delta Table Mounted Hand Fed Rip Saws,  and the employer did not ensure the saws were equipped with hood guards over the exposed blade section on the machine, thereby exposing employees to hazards associated with unguarded saws.

29 CFR  1910.213(c)(2):Hand-fed circular ripsaw(s) were not furnished with a spreader to prevent material from squeezing the saw or being thrown back on the operator:  a) On or about March 24, 2023, in the workshop area, employees were required to operate the SawStop and Delta Table Mounted Hand Fed Rip Saws,  and the employer did not ensure the saws were equipped with spreaders, thereby employees were exposed to hazards associated with unguarded saws.

29 CFR  1910.213(c)(3):Each hand-fed circular ripsaw shall be provided with nonkickback fingers or dogs so located as to oppose the thrust or tendency of the saw to pick up the material or to throw it back toward the operator. They shall be designed to provide adequate holding power for all the thicknesses of materials being cut.  a) On or about March 24, 2023, in the workshop area, employees were required to operate the SawStop and Delta Table Mounted Hand Fed Rip Saws,  and the employer did not ensure that the saws were equipped with nonkickback fingers, thereby employees were exposed to the hazards associated with unguarded saws.
