29 CFR  1910.132(a): Protective equipment was not used when necessary whenever hazards capable of causing injury and impairment were encountered:   (a) Second Floor Compounding,  111 Fieldcrest Ave Edison, NJ 08837  Chemical splash protection for the body and hands were not required and used during manual chemical batch additions, including sodium hydroxide, into open-top kettles, exposing employee(s) to chemical burns to the skin.  Condition(s) were noted on or about 4/06/2023.

29 CFR  1910.1200(h)(3)(iii): Employee training did not include the measures employees can take to protect themselves from chemical hazards, including specific procedures the employer had implemented to protect employees from exposure to hazardous chemicals, such as appropriate work practices, emergency procedures and personal protective equipment to be used:  (a) Second Floor Compounding,  111 Fieldcrest Ave Edison, NJ 08837  Employee(s) performing manual chemical batch additions, including sodium hydroxide, into open-top kettles were not instructed in appropriate work practices and/or personal protective equipment to use to protect them from chemical exposure hazard(s) such as chemical burns to the skin.   Condition(s) were noted on or about 4/06/2023.
