29 CFR 1926.451(e)(1): When scaffold platforms were more than 2 feet (0.6 m) above or below a point of access, portable ladders, hook-on ladders, attachable ladders, stair towers (scaffold stairways/towers), stairway-type ladders (such as ladder stands), ramps, walkways, integral prefabricated scaffold access, or direct access from another scaffold, structure, personnel hoist, or similar surface was not used: a) 2600 Wewatta Way, Denver CO: On or about April 13, 2023, and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 100 feet while conducting waterproofing from a #4 hydro-mobile scaffold that did not have proper access from the building to the scaffold. The work platform of the scaffold was 5 ft. 2 in. above the buildings 11th floor and employees were using 2x4 guardrails to access the scaffold.

29 CFR 1926.451(e)(8): Direct access to or from another surface shall be used only when the scaffold is not more than 14 inches (36 cm) horizontally and not more than 24 inches (61 cm) vertically from the other surface: a) 2600 Wewatta Way, Denver CO: On or about April 13, 2023, and at times prior, employees were exposed to fall hazards of approximately 100 feet while conducting waterproofing from a #4 hydro-mobile scaffold that's horizontal access was 21 inches from the building.
