29 CFR 1910.133(a)(1): Protective eye and face equipment was not required where there was a reasonable probability of injury that could be prevented by such equipment: a) Diebold Family Cancer Center - Outpatient Infusion Suite: On or about April 21, 2023, the employer did not require the use of chemical-barrier face and eye protection where splashing was possible when chemotherapy drugs were administered to patients. b) Hazardous Drug Buffer Room: On or about April 21, 2023, the employer did not require the use of chemical-barrier face and eye protection where splashing was possible while working at or above eye level during drug preparation processes and while cleaning the biosafety cabinet and isolation room where hazardous drugs were processed.
