29 CFR  1910.212(a)(2): Machine guard(s) on machine(s) were so installed that they offered accident hazards in themselves:   a.) American Iron and Metal Recycling Erie, LLC - On or about 4/18/23, and at times prior thereto, the company had installed an adjustable guard on a shear.  The guard created a pinch point between the guard and the  piece of metal being cut.  An employee sustained a fingertip amputation when his finger was caught between the metal and the guard.  ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED: Abatement certification is required within 10 days after the abatement date noted on the citation (see below).  This certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date abatement was completed, method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
