29 CFR 1926.502(d)(21): Personal fall arrest systems were not inspected prior to each use for wear, damage, and other deterioration, and/or defective components were not removed from service: a) Hyundai EV Plant Construction Site, Automotive Paint Building: On April 29, 2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that, the harness of a personal fall arrest system, that was worn and damaged, was not removed from service.

29 CFR 1926.760(d)(1): Guardrail systems, safety net systems, personal fall arrest systems, positioning device systems and their components did not conform to the criteria in � 1926.502 (Appendix G to this subpart): a) Hyundai EV Plant Construction Site, Automotive Paint Building: On April 29, 2023, the employer exposed employees to fall hazards, in that, a self-retractable lifeline was not capable of resisting sharp edges, connected to limit the free fall distance to less than 6 feet, not inspected prior to each use, and was used with a defective body harness that had notable indicators of damage and deterioration.
