29 CFR  1926.300(a): Hand tools, power tools, or similar equipment were not maintained in a safe condition:   (a) East Side of New Field House - An employee used a DeWalt angle grinder, model D28402, serial number 840901, equipped with a Black Hawk Professional Abrasives Type 27 depressed center abrasive wheel, to grind down the weld, in holes on steel fascia.  This DeWalt angle grinder did not have the side handle to ensure that the employee maintained control of the tool at all times during operation, exposing the employee to struck by and entanglement hazards, on or about May 26, 2023.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and shall state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
