A safe place to ride shall be provided where riding of trucks is authorized.   a) 2nd floor: Unauthorized personnel were permitted to ride on powered industrial truck and/or a safe place was not provided. The employee was working from the forklift forks while erecting steel, on or about 5/30/23  b) 2nd floor: Unauthorized personnel were permitted to ride on powered industrial truck and/or a safe place was not provided. 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1): Each employee on a walking/working surface with an unprotected side or edge which was 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above a lower level was not protected from falling by the use of guardrail systems, safety net systems, or personal fall arrest systems.  a) Steel Support : An employee was exposed to fall hazards of approximately 40 feet to the concrete below while passing material which a means of a fall protection system was not in use on the left side, on or about 5/30/23    a) The Atlantic Steel Solutions LLC-NJ LLC  was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1483376, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 5/15/21, with respect to a workplace located at 985 Route 17 S Ramsey NJ 07446.    b) The Atlantic Steel Solutions LLC-NJ LLC  was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1475227, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on 3/17/21, with respect to a workplace located at 136 Summit Ave, Jersey city NJ 07304.
