29 CFR  1926.651(k)(1):Daily inspections of excavations, the adjacent areas, and protective systems were not made by a competent person for evidence of a situation that could have resulted in possible cave-ins, indications of failure of protective systems, hazardous atmospheres, or other hazardous conditions.   a) At Jobsite - 800 Lombard Road Red Lion PA, on or about, June 8, 2023, employees were observed working in a partially benched trench that had not been evaluated by a competent person prior to entry, exposing the employees to a caught in/struck by hazard.   Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and state employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
