29 CFR 1910.333(a): Safety-related work practices were not employed to prevent electric shock or other injuries resulting from either direct or indirect electrical contacts, when work was performed near or on equipment or circuits which were or could be energized: a. On or about October 30, 2023, employees were troubleshooting and resetting Inverter #1 within an energized 480V/120V control cabinet located at Canning Line 3. The employer did not ensure that electrical safe work practices were implemented to protect employees from electrical shock and arc flash hazards. b. On or about June 26, 2023, employees were troubleshooting and performing a motor starter reset within an energized 480V/120V control cabinet located at Canning Line 3. The employer did not ensure that electrical safe work practices were implemented to protect employees from electrical shock and arc flash hazards.

29 CFR 1910.335(a)(1)(i): Employees working in areas where there are potential electrical hazards shall be provided with, and shall use, electrical protective equipment that is appropriate for the specific parts of the body to be protected and for the work to be performed. Note: Personal protective equipment requirements are contained in subpart I of this part. a. On or about October 30, 2023, employees were troubleshooting and resetting Inverter #1 within an energized 480V/120V control cabinet located at Canning Line 3. The employer did not ensure that electrical protective equipment was utilized to protect employees from electrical shock and arc flash hazards, such as, but not limited to, arc-rated clothing, head protection, face protection, hand protection and hearing protection in accordance with Subpart I - Personal Protective Equipment. b. On or about June 26, 2023, employees were troubleshooting and performing a motor starter reset within an energized 480V/120V control cabinet located at Canning Line 3.
