29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1):One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a) On or about August 20, 2023, in the Saw Department and SO 2 Department, the employer failed to provide effective guarding to protect employees working at or a Band Saw and Mixer Machine. Employees were, thereby, exposed to amputation hazards.  a) In the Band Saw Department, employees were operating a Band Saw (NO 52T) and the unused portion of the blade was not guarded, thereby exposing employees to amputation hazards.  b) In the SO 2 Department, employees were operating an unknown named Mixer Machine and there was no guard over the rotating blades, thereby exposing employees to amputation hazards.
