29 CFR 1904.39(a)(2): The employer did not report within 24-hours a work-related incident resulting in in-patient hospitalization, amputation or the loss of an eye.  On August 17, 2023, an employee was struck by a snapped auxiliary winch cable, which resulted in an in-patient hospitalization of the employee. The employer did not report to OSHA within 24-hours the in-patient hospitalization of the employee. The event occurred at approximately 7:15AM on August 17, 2023, but was not reported to the local office of the Occupational Safety and Health Administration until August 18, 2023, at approximately 9:14AM.
