29 CFR  1910.147(c)(6)(i):The employer did not conduct an annual or more frequent inspection of the energy control procedure to ensure that the procedure and requirements of this standard were followed:  a)  In the Facility, on or about October 12, 2023 - The employer did not conduct an annual inspection of their energy control procedures to ensure the procedures and requirements of the energy control standard were followed.  ABATEMENT NOTE:  The periodic inspection shall be performed by an authorized employee other than the ones(s) utilizing the energy control procedure being inspected, and the inspection process shall be conducted to correct any deviations or inadequacies identified.

Employees work with hazardous materials including but not limited to coolant and compressed gases.

29 CFR  1910.1200(f)(6)(i):The employer did not ensure that each container of hazardous chemicals in the workplace was labeled, tagged or marked with the information required by 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(1)(i) through 29 CFR 1910.1200(f)(1)(v):  a)  Outside Shipping and Receiving Area, on or about October 12, 2023 - The employer did not ensure that a 275 gallon tote of used coolant was labeled with the required information.   ABATEMENT NOTE:  Containers shall be marked with the product identifier;  signal word, hazard statement(s), pictograms and precautionary statements.
