29 CFR 1926.102(a)(1): The employer shall ensure that each affected employee uses appropriate eye or face protection when exposed to eye or face hazards from flying particles, molten metal, liquid chemicals, acids or caustic liquids, chemical gases or vapors, or potentially injurious light radiation.   On or about November 7, 2023, employees engaged in residential roofing operations were exposed to eye injury hazards while operating pneumatic nail guns without eye protection. Employer did not ensure that employees that were engaged in roofing installations activities utilizing pneumatic guns were utilizing safety glasses.     Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).

Each employee engaged in residential construction activities 6 feet (1.8 m) or more above lower levels shall be protected by guardrail systems, safety net system, or personal fall arrest system:  On or about November 7, 2023, Employees were exposed to fall hazards in approximately 16 - 25  feet while engaged in residential roofing activities. Fall protection was not being utilized adequately while employees were engaged in roof installation and activities.   Abatement documentation is required for this item in accordance with 29 CFR 1903.19(d).   The Amber Coast, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this occupational safety and health standard or its equivalent standard 29 CFR 1926.501(b)(13), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1534332, citation number 1 , item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on August 11, 2021, with respect to a workplace located at 2208 Joyce Ln., Naperville, IL. 60540
