29 CFR 1926.21(b)(2): The employer did not instruct each employee in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe conditions and the regulations applicable to his/her environment to control or eliminate any hazards or other exposure to illness or injury. (a) Worksite, corner of Rhapsody Lane and Anawana Lake Road in Monticello, NY - On or about January 31, 2024, employees were loading a remote controlled BOMAG multipurpose compactor on to a trailer in the roadway. The employees were not instructed in the recognition and avoidance of unsafe road work conditions and use of temporary traffic control devices while loading equipment at the side of the road.

29 CFR 1926.200(g)(1): Construction areas were not posted with legible traffic signs at points of hazards. a) Worksite, corner of Rhapsody Lane and Anawana Lake Road in Monticello, NY - On or about January 31, 2024, employees were loading a remote controlled BOMAG multipurpose compactor on to a trailer in the roadway, with no traffic signs displayed at the loading zone. Employees were exposed to struck-by hazards.
