29 CFR 1910.176(b): Secure storage. The storage of material shall not create a hazard. Items such as bags, containers, bundles, etc., were not stored in tiers and stacked, blocked, interlocked and limited in height so that they were stable and secure against sliding or collapse.  a. In the Backroom - On or about March 1, 2024, metal display fixtures and shelving equipment above the supervisor office were not stored in a stable and secure manner. Employees were thereby exposed to hazards associated with struck-by falling objects.

29 CFR 1910.303(g)(1)(ii): Working space required by this standard may not be used for storage. When normally enclosed live parts are exposed for inspection or servicing, the working space, if in a passageway or general open space, shall be suitably guarded.  a. Backroom- On or about March 1, 2024, the employer failed to maintain sufficient access which could hinder the ready and safe operation and maintenance of equipment. Employees were thereby exposed to electrical hazards in that the working space in front of the electrical circuit panel and GE transformer 480v was blocked by merchandise, boxes, shelving equipment, and moving equipment.
