OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1): The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees in that employees had exposure to struck-by and caught between hazards when riding on the riding step while the waste collection vehicle operated in reverse:  (a) First, Second, and Darrell Streets, Bellefonte, Pennsylvania - An employee rode the riding step of a waste collection vehicle traveling in reverse, exposing the employee to struck-by and caught between hazards, on or about July 26, 2024.  Newman Hill, Inc. was previously cited for a violation of this hazard under the Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1), which was contained in OSHA inspection number 1721982, citation number 1, item number 1 and was affirmed as a final order on July 2, 2024, with respect to a workplace located at 205 North Main Street, Port Matilda, PA 16870.  Abatement certification and documentation required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, the date and method of abatement, and state that employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement. Abatement documentation shall include documents demonstrating that abatement is complete, such as evidence of the purchase or repair of equipment, photographic or video evidence of abatement or other written records.
