29 CFR 1910.147(c)(4)(i): Procedures were not utilized for the control of potentially hazardous energy when employees were engaged in activities covered by this section:  a) On or about 08/22/2024, in Shipping and Receiving, energy control procedures (Lockout/Tagout) were not utilized when employees performed servicing or maintenance such as, but not limited to: changing the blade of the HE&M saw, exposing them to the unexpected start of the saw.  b) On or about 08/22/2024, in the Manuals Area, energy control procedures (Lockout/Tagout) were not utilized when employees performed servicing or maintenance such as, but not limited to: setting up the LAPONTE broach, exposing them to the unexpected start of the broach.  c) On or about 08/22/2024, in the Welding Area, energy control procedures (Lockout/Tagout) were not utilized when employees performed servicing or maintenance such as, but not limited to: changing the dies on the PIRANHA Ironworker exposing employees to the unexpected start of the ironworker.  d) On or about 08/22/2024,  in the Punch Press Area, energy control procedures (Lockout/Tagout) were not utilized when employees performed servicing or maintenance such as, but not limited to: setting up the punch press exposing employees to the unexpected start of the punch press.   ABATEMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED

29 CFR  1910.212(a)(1): One or more methods of machine guarding was not provided to protect the operator and other employees in the machine area from hazards such as those created by point of operation, ingoing nip points, rotating parts, flying chips and sparks:  a) On or about 08/22/2024, in the Manuals Area, employees were exposed to flying debris and rotating chuck hazards when operating the HARDINGE and MORI SEIKE lathe without a guard over the chuck.   b) On or about 08/22/2024, in the Manuals Area, employees were exposed to amputation hazards when operating the JOHNSON Band Saw, without guarding the unused part of the blade.  c) On or about 08/22/2024, in the Manuals Area, employees were exposed to pinch point hazards when operating the LAPONTE pull broach without guarding the broach tool.  NO ABATEMENT CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
