29 CFR  1910.212(a)(3)(ii):  The point of operation of machines whose operation exposes an employee to injury, shall be guarded. The guarding device shall be in conformity with any appropriate standards therefor, or, in the absence of applicable specific standards, shall be so designed and constructed as to prevent the operator from having any part of his body in the danger zone during the operating cycle.   A)  240 Carter Dr.  Edison, NJ/Cheese Cutter Machine:  a) Employees operating the machine are exposed to caught-in hazards due to the lack of guarding on the side of the machine, which fails to prevent body parts from entering hazardous areas.  b) An employee was exposed to struck-by hazards when a wire bar, improperly secured, was ejected from the machine during operation.  Condition noted on or about 10-29-24.
