OSH ACT of 1970 Section (5)(a)(1)  The employer did not furnish employment and a place of employment which were free from recognized hazards that were causing or likely to cause death or serious physical harm to employees  (a)270 Park Ave, Ephrata, PA; Door Manufacturing - On or about November 5, 2024, the employer?s table saw training program did not adequately inform operators of the circumstances under which a guard could be removed from SawStop Table Saws.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.

29 CFR  1910.213(d)(1): Circular handfed crosscut table saw(s) were not guarded by an automatically adjusting hood which completely enclosed that portion of the saw above the table and above the material being cut:  (a) 270 West Chestnut Street, Ephrata, PA - On or about November 15, 2024, an employee was using the SawStop brand 10-inch Industrial Cabinet Saw (labeled TS-12) without the guard in place at the blade. The employee was exposed to a struck by hazard.  Abatement certification required within 10 days after abatement date. The certification shall include a statement that abatement is complete, date and method of abatement, and states employees and their representatives were informed of this abatement.
