29 CFR 1910.269(l)(8)(v)(D): The employer did not ensure that each employee exposed to hazards from electric arcs wore protective equipment consisting of at a minimum a face shield with an arc rating greater than or equal to the heat energy estimated under paragraph (l)(8)(ii) of this section whenever that estimate exceeded 2.0 Cal/cm2 but less than 9.0 Cal/cm2. Location - Great Street & Shawsheen Road, Pole 4/1, Bedford, MA. On or about December 3, 2024, an employee received second degree burns to the face when the ground wire being cut arced and the employee was not wearing a face shield.
